The Outlaw Porsche is here to stay, pioneers of the movement such as Rod Emory, Magnus Walker and Singer Vehicle Design have lead the way, building wild and beautiful cars that reimagine the way we think about Porsche.
Built on a 1982 Porsche 911 SC platform, this car has all the benefits of servo-assisted braking, highly tunable suspension and a fully galvanized body. Most importantly however, this car has had its 3.0csi motor fully built by leading marque specialists. On start-up the motor fires immediately, settling down quickly to a smooth idle. Once out on the road the distinct flat-six howl urges you on and throws you hard into the supportive Recaro sports seats. This is a beautifully built fast-road car that has crucially benefitted from having hundreds of skilled hours dedicated to those final critical details.
The Outlaw is a Hot Rod in the purest sense of the word. The history of the Outlaw is interwoven into hot rodding culture; born of a burning desire to create blistering performance, drivability and personal style. Often designed in tribute to the Porsche factory RS and R race cars of the late 1960’s and early 1970’s. The Outlaw has no desire to win 100 points on the manicured lawns of America’s Concours d’Elegance., instead preferring to deliver counter-culture style and performance on the streets and backroads that it calls home.
This 1982 Porsche 911 Outlaw, finished in mint green with a newly built 3.0csi injection motor has had comprehensive work completed by leading marque specialists. The interior is finished in a no nonsense RS style that includes Recaro sports seats, factory style door cards, and rear seat delete. The Recaro sports seats are complemented by Porsche factory plaid inserts. On the outside the car sits on 17” Fuchs style wheels. The road ahead is illuminated by Bosch H1 headlights and the car is additionally optioned with a factory electric sunroof. Many other smaller details such as drilled door handles and window mounted mirrors finish the Outlaw look.
The rise in tide of 911 values lately has lifted all boats, and Outlaw 911s are no exception. With such diverse and unique customization among them, they each have their own personality. The Outlaws have found their own place in 911 history and have developed an enormous following. Recent sale prices have indicated that interest is continuing to grow, especially for well sorted and inspired cars such as this one.
Notes from a recent test drive of this car sum up our collective thoughts here at the Finest: “it is quick as hell and well balanced, everything works in a precise manner and it is apparent that tremendous attention to detail was executed throughout the build process, an unbelievably exhilarating car – literally awesome!”
