Though it’s been around since the late 70’s, it wasn’t until 2002 when the first G-wagons were available in the USA. Their popularity and almost “cult” status has consistently risen since. This G-wagon on offer is no normal G550, but in fact taken to another level of luxury by Mercedes Tuner-extraordinaire Brabus. This stunning G550 is in excellent condition, with just 4800 miles on the odometer and coming straight to Boca from Beverly Hills California, it just doesn't get any more rockstar than this.
Purchased new in LA by Luxury Fashion Shoe Designer and good friend of The Finest, Jon Buscemi. It was then given to Brabus for the upgrades you see today. It has always been dealer maintained and used in and around the most glamorous city in the world. This G550 is presented in excellent, near mint condition, with a clean carfax and all of it’s books and tools.
This powerful off road vehicle was first favored by multiple military and safari groups. Loosely translated, Gelaendewagen means "tough terrain vehicle", also known as the popular G-Wagon today. The first civilian models that came out in 1979 weren’t particularly glamorous, featuring cloth seats and manual windows, but these cars were valued for their ability to get through any type of terrain. With a production run of more than 35 years, it’s one of the longest surviving Mercedes-Benz vehicles. Recently, and specifically throughout the 2010s, sales have skyrocketed and the G-wagon has taken the crown of king of offroad luxury SUV’s.
Resell value of this make and model doesn’t follow the trend of almost any other luxury car. The depreciation of a Mercedes G-Wagon, especially when purchased from it’s original first owner, is almost imperceptible. Of course mileage and condition factor in, but if you research the resale prices for 2015 and 2016 Mercedes Benz G-wagons, you’ll find very little if any difference.
The Mercedes-Benz G550 offers the perfect mix between luxury and off-road performance. Having risen in popularity within the past couple years, the G550 is great for a Sunday romp down the highway or a ride down the beaten path. The Brabus tuning package just takes it to another level.
